NOVEMBER
Hi, my chicks born last month have now been put in the flight with the other birds, one of the Opel Isabel/cream cock chicks died but the others are coming on great,i am still not sure what colour they are going to turn out.

One of the 4 pied eggs hatched today hopefully all four will hatch and survive.

The other pied eggs are due this weekend, the hen has very good markings but has lost her middle nail so i couldn`t show her so hopefully her young will have her colouring.

The fawn cock and cream laid 8 eggs but only one is full, it is her first clutch.

The normal pastel and cream hen laid eggs when their chicks were still in the nest four of which a full.

I am hoping my white cock and fawn hen will lay their second clutch soon,as they did produce a red eyed white in their last clutch but sadly they stopped feeding them when they were nearly 2 weeks old.

I have three pairs of birds ready for the Lougher&Gorsinon Show Saturday, two pairs of silvers and my favorite opel pastels.

The Norwich Canaries have settled well,my mate is going to sell me some canaries for feeders if they produce any young next March-April.

Todays show my opals pastels won best foreign section and best seed eater, but again there were no other javas entered.

I find it very frustrating that not many other java breeders want to show their birds off.

I am wondering is showing my birds is worth it,i know it is only my third show,i`ll take birds to the next two shows coming up if there are no other javas i don`t see the point,i`ll just have to share my birds via the web.

My fawn cock and cream hen stopped sitting on their eggs. The pieds are due any day and my single pied chick is doing well.

I have just had a 20 double breeder block given to me, so i will have to revamp my shed before next season.
